One of my favourite ways of dressing on a day to day basis is sometimes opting for a monochrome colour palette which seems to be my first choice as it creates a rather clean and minimal look don’t you think. On a Monday morning on days like today it appears to be a good day with the sunshine out in London town as I make my way to a meeting before lunch time. So, if you’re wondering how should you wear this attire in spring summer without it being too warm it comes down to the choice of fabrics that are light and breathable at the same time.

Fabrics such as linen on jackets seem to be appropriate in this weather as it will be getting rather warm in the next coming months. What I like about classic separates such as light cotton shirts or t-shirts you can team these with a jacket to slightly dress the look up or down depending on where you are going. I like this combination allot as it still looks rather relaxed and comfortable which is how it should feel in spring when its time to hang up your winter wardrobe till next season.

Fitted jeans or trousers can also create nice proportions to elongate or emphasis body shape which I find looks great in appearance and when I take random pictures of myself wearing my outfits. The key is knowing your body shape and making the most of whatever shape and size you are, because everyone is different and deserves to feel great in clothes. As they say black can be slimming, but not only that I have feeling the monochrome trend will be a hit this season with the newly anticipated Beverley Hills 90210 re-boot hits the small screen once again.

If you love spring time, I for one am in favour of the new season because that means changing your wardrobe and if you like there’s also room for a wardrobe detox including building a new capsule collection of looks that make perfect transition pieces from one season to the next. For me it’s all about the layers for now because the weather in London is so predictable at times. One minute it’s sunny, then suddenly an outburst of rain which means keeping an umbrella at bay just incase.

I’m looking forward to the warm weather and eventually the days becoming longer come summer time I think we are almost there. Last May infact in the U.K. was the warmest it’s been in so many years that I might as well have had a staycation at home instead of holidaying abroad. Wouldn’t it be great when it’s the right time to wear shorts and a t-shirt just sitting outside in the sun, bbq’s in the garden and lazy afternoons in the park is worth waiting for i’m sure of that.

During Spring I’m also looking forward to the Easter Bank Holiday to relax and just make good use of my time wisely. Often I find there’s lots to think about whether it’s making plans for all important occasions I’m hoping there might be a wedding if a friend decides to get hitched somewhere nice hot and sunny I hope, but there’s also going to be some great summer socials in the next few months so expecting some fun times ahead.

As I prepare to gear up for the summer holidays let’s hope the weathers stays pleasant for the time being which means I’m feeling inspired by new styles as I tend to have a habit to window shop following the upcoming summer sales. Who can say no to wearing shorts at the park and beach as all i’m thinking about are long summer days and watching sunsets make weekend wears all worth while in the next couple of months to look forward to.
